A brand new product has landed on the Hornett Wholefoods shelf. And by new, I don’t just mean new to the shop; this is a new product on the market and we are the first in the UK to have it on the shelves! Gaia’s Kitchen will be familiar to those of you who visit farmer’s and vegan markets with their fabulous range of vegan cheeses. They‘ve decided that there is a gap in the market for an easy to make, tasty cheese style sauce and they’ve filled it admirably. This is a really easy to use powder that you mix with a little oil, and your favourite plant milk – here’s how you do it…
Measure out 38g of the powder into a pan. The pack can be resealed really easily so you don’t need to use it all at once (although you may want to!).
Add two tablespoons of oil, and 230ml of plant milk and whisk together to avoid lumps.
Heat it on a medium heat until it thickens. This will take about 5 minutes.
Add to macaroni, lasagne, or whatever you feel like! We had it with mashed potatoes, and it was delicious!
